It all started while looking for something for my cards. I couldn't find it, so I made it.
THE ORIGIN
I returned to collecting after years away, and the world of TCG cards had changed profoundly. Full Art illustrations had reached a level I did not expect: elaborate compositions, color depth and details that rewarded a closer look. They were no longer decorative illustrations. They were artworks.
I looked at those cards and thought about how much their physical format held them back. A small card holding artwork that deserved a wall.

THE NEED
I have a background in graphic design and photography. I can read a composition and recognize where an illustrator left room for imagination beyond the printed edges. That perspective made the problem impossible to ignore: every rare card and precious Full Art was displayed inside a plain plastic toploader. No continuity. No extension. Just protection.
I looked for a solution that went further. Not a small frame with the same background for everyone, but a way to truly showcase the artwork: bringing out its potential, breaking the limits imposed by the card format and giving the illustration the space it deserved.
I couldn't find a solution that felt right. So I started building it.

HOW I WORK
The project is young. The experience behind it isn't.
ShadArtCustom was born in 2023, but the background behind it was built much earlier — years of graphic design, photography and active collecting shaped the eye before the project even had a name.
Every commission is handled directly. From the first WhatsApp conversation to final delivery, there is no intermediary. I understand the card you want to showcase — often as a collector before a designer — and that changes how I design the artwork.
I accept up to 12 custom projects per month. No more, because every commission requires time, attention and manual quality control.
The card is not included: you'll use your own. If you have questions about sleeves, toploaders or format compatibility, message me on WhatsApp before ordering.
